Recently a local seventeen year old guy got a job on an international TV Commercial - His Auckland Agent managed to get him $48,000 for the two-day fully paid excursion to Nelson (NZ). And an extra $12,000 for Roll-overs(fees paid yearly based on Usage). Not bad going for two days 'work' and a free stay in Nelson. But remember, this doesn't happen every week.

No. So if you need regular money or a job - this is not the right place to get it. This industry is very up & down, one minute you have nothing - the next you have a $5000 TV Commercial. And if anybody does give you the idea that there is guaranteed work, they're lying to you - and probably want to rip you off! No one is guaranteed work, that's the nature of it...in fact, it is very last minute and a little 'crazy' at times. But the great thing about it is that they can pay extremely well - which means your able to make a lot of money in a very short amount of time.

Yes! You need to be very careful. Go to the wrong agency and you will sit on their books for literally years and do nothing but courses & renew old photos. If your sitting in one of these Agencies, our advice is to get out! We help people find good Agencies that look after them and do their best to get them work!

Like everyone else in this industry, You do - of course. The reason you're doing this is to get paid lots of money and a cost in trying to make that happen is getting your own Portfolio. No one ever expects to get anything back from something they didn't put anything into! After all, it is yours to keep - you will have it, own it and get reprints whenever you like. And Mums always love the photos!

No. Sometimes it's character faces that we are after! We like seeing lots of different looks and nationalities. We like meeting a whole range of people. And if you take the make-up off half the models on TV & in magazines, you would be very surprised!
